DESCRIPTION

Drifting between absolute artistic freedom and mind-numbing terror in the amnesiac void between reality and imagination, a writer eventually succumbs to the will of her creation. As fiction becomes stronger than reality, she yields her personal authority to that of the characters she has brought into being.

WaxFactory’s 2005 creation destroys each theatrical illusion in ...SHE SAID at the moment of its creation through a breathless sequence of arresting images designed by some of the most extraordinary visual and digital artists in Europe. Spectators come to understand the elusive story according to their individual interpretations of the glimpses afforded in its telling, seduced by mercurial surround-sound environments created by the renowned electronica duo Random Logic and calibrated performances by the American actors Erika Latta and Dion Doulis and Slovenian performer Katarina Stegnar. Beneath the electronic hum and the restless pixels lies the pain of lost time and unfulfilled desire.
